FAQs

What does it mean when you say you're GMP certified?

GMP means products are produced at a pharmaceutical grade. Every step of production is monitored, registered, tested and supervised. GMP standards have been designed to remove the risks involved in any pharmaceutical production that cannot be eliminated simply through third party testing the final product! So while we're all for 3rd party tested products(we also do this), it's no where near enough. This is our best tip to anybody shopping for CBD oil, make sure it's GMP certified.

What is your refund policy?

At Kiara, we’re certain that you won’t be disappointed with our products but just in case, we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not satisfied simply ship the product back to us within 14 days of receiving it and we’ll reimburse you.

How long does shipping take?

For customers located in Europe, shipping time is 3-5 business days. Orders to the United States and Canada take 5-12 business days. Shipping to all other countries takes 7-15 business days.

What's the difference between CBD and THC

Both THC and CBD are plant derived cannabinoids. However, THC is a psychoactive cannabinoid which can make you high whereas CBD is not. While THC affects the CB1 cannabinoid receptor, CBD only affects the CB2 receptor in order to bring out your body’s naturally occurring endocannabinoids. Hemp contains high quantities of CBD and negligible amounts of THC. Hemp is thus legal in most places and Marijuana (high THC Cannabis) is illegal in most countries.

What’s the Difference between Hemp, Cannabis and Marajuana?

Both Hemp and Marijuana are types of Cannabis plants. Whereas the term Hemp tends to be used for those plants which contain less than 0.3% of the psychoactive compound tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Marijuana is generally used to refer to Cannabis which contains significant quantities of THC. Kiara’s products contain no more than 0.2% THC and our pure oils contain 0% THC.

What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are natural chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant (including Hemp), which act on your body’s cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are part of the ECS and positively impact the functioning of your body’s immune and nervous systems While THC and CBD are the most well-known cannabinoids. There are over 80 cannabinoids which like CBD, are not psychoactive and many of these are available within Kiara products.

What's the difference between Biomass and Flowers?

In the CBD industry a lot of the oils are made from "Biomass". In short, biomass means the whole plant is harvested by a machine and grounded into fine powder that will later be used to create a CBD oil. While it's true that the stems and branches of the plant do have active ingredients/terpenes in them, they are in MUCH lower numbers than the actual flowers themselves. It's a tedious and expensive task to separate the flowers from the plant, but in our opinion and our lab results, very much worth it.

How to read a CBD label like a pro and never get ripped off again?

A large bottle containing a lot of liquid does NOT mean there is a lot of CBD inside(the stuff you're paying for). You should only be interested in one thing, which is how much CBD is in a product. For example 2000mg of CBD in a 30ml bottle means you'll get exactly a third of the CBD in every drop as you would if the same 2000mg was in a 10ml bottle. We often feel like we're getting more for our money by getting the larger bottle. This is highly misleading as the only thing you're getting more of is MCT oil(coconut oil), which you might as well get at the supermarket.
